What a wonderful last couple of days it has been here in Tijuana, Mexico. Last night we changed up our program evening and had a Worship & Prayer night. In-between songs the group shared where they saw God at work that day. Some of their responses were, simple gifts of generosity from their homeowners, to the testimonies of the homeowners, and even the white butterflies. We also had a prayer time in-between worship, where we would lift up our sick and hurting teammates, friends and family back home, our homeowners and their families, University Presbyterian Church who has arrived yesterday for their trip here at TJ, and for the gracious hands of our hospitality team. It was a special night to praise God and lift up one another, which fit our theme of kindness and generosity perfectly.
Today our group has been hard at work getting the walls, siding, and roofs up. Leaders and students are feeling motivated with the progress and can’t believe we will be giving these precious homeowners keys to their new home’s tomorrow evening. Our theme today is faithfulness and gentleness and there is a God’s constant reminder that God is truly faithful to us and to our families and witnessing it all is nothing short of a miracle.
We will be enjoying a marvelous dinner tonight provided by the hospitality of the Orphanage. It is a meal that many returners look forward to - authentic steak tacos. Please continue to keep all 132 of us in your prayers as we continue to push our bodies and hearts into this beautiful community.Thank you!
