Breaking New Ground

Breaking New Ground

This fall SPC is entering into a new adventure--The building of a new children's and youth center on our campus that will act as a hub for discipleship at SPC and for our community. To break new ground can be a scary thing, and yet it is what God's people have always been called to do. From the call of Abraham to "go!" to the call of Jesus to his to disciples to reach out to the hurting and lost world, the church is God's place where new ground is being broken all the time. Join us as we get excited about this new ground we are breaking at SPC, hear how you can be a part of it, and explore the Scriptures through this lens of faith together.

Home Field Advantage

Home Field Advantage

One popular truth in sports is the concept of "home field advantage." Playing at home in front of one's own people, knowing how the ball bounces and the wind blows, sleeping in one's own bed before the competition--these give the home team an edge to perform at their best. The same is true for us in the church of Jesus Christ. The church is our home field, the place God gives us to live out our faith in the game of life. During this sermon series, we will take a look at the home field advantage in our life of faith that SPC has to offer. Focusing on our mission statement of being a Christ-Centered Mission Minded Family, we will explore the gift God has given us in our "home field" and how we can take advantage of that as a church.
