    Philippians 2:1-11

    1. When you think of the term “home field advantage,” what do you think of? What are YOUR places of home field advantage?

    2. Ulrich Mauser states, “Paul’s letter to the Philippians is dealing constantly with the tension brought about by the simultaneous similarity and dissimilarity of the Christian gospel and the life of the Christian community with the ideals and realities of the Roman Empire.” Thinking about our nation today, what values of the Christian community do you see are similar? Dissimilar? How do you discern which is which?

    3. What is the closest you have come to being in a fellowship that cared for one another like Paul describes here? Your buddies in military? Your college sorority? Your sports team? An AA recovery group? What does it look like to have the same mind and the same love?

    4. At SPC, our vision is to be Christ-Centered in everything we do. How does Paul’s teaching of the Philippians influence our ability to accomplish our vision? What does being Christ-Centered look like in light of our passage today?
