Children

Girls at VBS 2019We love kids at SPC! Friendships are made while we have fun, play games, create crafts and learn to follow Jesus together. Our children’s mission is to “Love God, Love Others and Serve Both.”

During this time of "Stay Home, Stay Healthy", while we can't all be together, Children's Ministry is providing a variety of ways for families to grow in their faith while having fun together. If you'd like to receive the weekly Children's Ministry email, contact .

Family Advent Wreath

During the season of Advent, many churches use an Advent wreath as a tradition that symbolizes the passage of the four weeks of Advent in the liturgical calendar. It is not uncommon for families to create their own Advent wreath, lighting a new candle each week.
Living in the midst of a pandemic, these sorts of traditions seem more meaningful than ever. Our hope is that your family will make your own Advent wreath this season. The candles symbolize hope (purple), love (purple), joy (pink) and peace (purple) and are placed in that order in the Advent wreath. A fifth candle, called the Christ candle, is added in the center of the wreath and is lit on Christmas to remind us of the light Jesus brings to the world.
Traditional Advent wreaths are made with seasonal greenery, but it is not a requirement. If you'd like to make an Advent wreath for this season, some simply DIY ideas can be found by clicking the button below.
Once you've made your wreath, take a picture and send it to us at communications@spconline.org, so we can all share our Advent celebrations with our SPC family.

DIY Advent Wreath

We invite you join us for MOPS and MOMSnext! Our group welcomes moms with newborns to school-age kids. SPC MOPS connects moms in our community to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood together. It is a place to be more honest, feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying alongside each other - because better moms make a better world.

Join us for a monthly “Moms Night In," as well as, bi-monthly meetings with your table group. Meetings will provide an opportunity to connect with other moms, to grow in your faith, and to have some fun!

Due to COVID, meetings will be held online for Fall 2020. We hope to meet in person when it is safe to do so; more details will be provided when that is possible. For any questions, contact Ashley Cole, MOPS Coordinator, at .
