The Way Forward: Small Group Questions
Radical Hospitality
March 30, 2025
In light of today’s scripture/sermon, consider the following statements for yourself, from the Practicing the Way Spiritual Health Reflection, a tool for measuring our spiritual growth:
I regularly pray for and practice hospitality with those far from God, welcoming them to share meals with me.
I engage in regular acts of service towards the poor with the goal of building relationships with them.
I regularly make sacrifices for others
I actively pursue relationships with people from other backgrounds (e.g., socio-economic, ethnic, disability, education, etc.)
I intentionally place myself in relationship with the poor.
I regularly share the Gospel of Jesus with those who don't know him.
How do these statements fit into your idea of communal or personal spiritual health? Do you recognize a need for growth in any areas – for SPC or for you? What might it look like to push further into one of these statements?
