1. When was the last time you were in a place of silence - even for a short time, on purpose or accidentally, for longer than a minute? What was it like? Was it a positive or negative experience?
2. Have you had experience with the practice of silence? If so, what has that been like? If not, why not?
3. If you were going to enter into 2 or 5 or 10 minutes of silence...what anxiety comes up for you? What "wild beasts" keep you from this practice, alone or with others?
4. Without silence in our lives, we cannot hear the voice of God. What would help you to set a few short times of silence to practice this week, to listen for God's voice in your life?
