  1. What was the culture around aging in your growing up experience? Your parents, grandparents, extended family – was getting older and its impacts... ignored, something to fight, embraced? Was it connected to faith in Jesus?

  2. Describe an experience you’ve had “going flat out” to finish a race, a project, a reconciliation, a recovery, etc.  How did you manage this? What were the important pieces for you of getting to the finish line?

  3. When Paul says, “All good athletes train hard – run to win,” what does that mean for us in light of getting older?  How do you run to win in this lap – wherever you are, right now?

  4. No matter how we look at it, aging isn’t easy. Is there someone in your life who is struggling with some of the myriad challenges of aging, who could use your encouragement, time, presence or prayer?  Name this person, and commit to reach out, this week.
