Small Group Questions
June 1, 2025

1. Talk about a place that is or has been "home" for you. What makes it feel like home? How do you dwell in it -is it restful, joyous, safe, inviting...?

2. Was heaven something that you heard and talked about as you grew up? How did you learn about heaven, and what has formed your picture of it? Have you ever considered it your true home?

3. Spend some time talking about our eternal home, especially in light of these 2 scriptures.

Though it is beyond us in many ways, what are some things we can look forward to?

-I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:3

-Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. 1 Corinthians 13:12

4. The early church feasted on the joy of the coming resurrection; they lived for it and did not fear death because of it. Talk about some ways to keep our eyes focused on eternity; how can we encourage one another - all the more as we see the day approaching?
