Justice, Mercy, and Humility

In this past Sunday's sermon from 'The Way Forward' series, Rev. Jake Medcalf preached about the importance of justice, mercy, and humility in the Christian life. He emphasized that the idea of biblical justice—represented by the Hebrew word ‘mishpat’—should be primary in our lives and not an ancillary issue. By examining scripture, particularly Micah 6:8, and drawing on various theological interpretations, Rev. Jake challenges listeners to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly. He explored how true justice means addressing inequities and inequalities while reflecting God’s grace and compassion. Through biblical examples and personal reflections, this sermon calls for believers to actively pursue justice and embody the righteousness of God in their daily lives.
